Neil Peart RIP

Neil Peart. A drummer and a lyricist of course, an exceptional talent on stage and in the studio, an inspiration to so many through the many-layered wisdoms woven into his words. But more than that: a traveller and writer, an intensely private, family man who was known to his friends as funny, diligent, caring and humble. I didn’t ever meet Neil, but he was a great support when I was writing ‘that’ book. Through which as well I have been lucky to know many who knew him; also, and I don’t think coincidentally, some of the nicest people I have had the good fortune to meet. My heart goes out to all whose lives he has touched, near and far. Some memories last forever.
